JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Two weeks before Election Day, activists from across the country gathered for an online rally heralding the historic number of state ballot initiatives seeking to change the way people vote. Hopes were high that voters would ditch traditional partisan primaries and embrace ballots with more candidate choices.

Instead, the election reform movement lost almost everywhere it appeared on a statewide ballot.

“It turns out, in retrospect, we weren’t yet ready for prime time,” said John Opdycke, president of the advocacy group Open Primaries, which organized the rally.

In Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, Oregon and South Dakota — a mixture of red, blue and purple states — voters rejected either ranked choice voting, open primaries or a combination of both.

“Election reform”. To a liberal that means business as usual with millions of fraudulent ballots.

Two election reforms that I think would pass everywhere.

Must have a valid photo ID to vote.
Must be legal American Citizen to vote.

Opinion polls whatever they are worth show huge support for both things across all political lines.

Put those two simple to understand reforms on the ballot and I think you would see a major difference in voting patterns.

I want election reform: in person voting with picture ID required. No mail in ballots for federal elections. Absentee ballots only in very limited circumstances.

The “reforms” were mostly ranked choice voting, which is a tool to get liberals elected with a minority of the vote and was rejected in all states except Alaska where it won by 600 votes. The left spent 100 million pushing it, a lot of it reportedly dark foreign money.

“Dangerous, right-wing proposals” is what the AP would say.

You are correct, as am I, "ranked choice voting" IS election fixing.

IN NEVADA-—it was rejected.

NONE of the ads promoting it ever said a WORD about RANKED CHOICE VOTING.

Primary participation can be changed WITHOUT inserting RANKED CHOICE VOTING.

Many states had VOTER ID on the ballot.

IIRC—IT DID PASS...
