Walmart is adding a surprisingly pricey product to its shelves as it chases wealthier customers.
Premium cookware company Caraway announced it is launching its own ceramic cookware and kitchen accessories for Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com.
Founded in 2019, the cookware company built its reputation selling ceramic-coated cookware directly to consumers through sleek online marketing and social media campaigns.
Its products, which emphasize modern design and non-toxic materials, typically sell at significantly higher price points than other cookware sold at Walmart.
Caraway products are now listed on the retailer's website, with one nonstick frying pan going for a whopping $125. The brand's 12-piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set comes in at $595.
For comparison, a frying pan under Walmart's private label, Mainstays, will cost shoppers a mere $10 when purchased online.
This is Caraway's largest retail expansion to date, with its collection arriving in more than 500 stores nationwide. Founder and CEO Jordan Nathan framed the move as part of the brand's effort to broaden its reach.
'From the beginning, our goal has been simple: make thoughtfully designed kitchen products available to as many people as possible,' Nathan said in a statement. 'This is an exciting milestone for our brand and another step toward making better kitchen products more accessible.'

For Walmart, the partnership comes amid an attempts to lure in customers that would have been noticeably absent from stores just a few years ago.
'As we continue to evolve and elevate our assortment to meet the needs of our customers, we're excited to bring Caraway to our cookware lineup,' Walmart said.
In the company's most recent earnings report, executives said Walmart's US market-share gains were 'led by upper-income households,' describing those customers as a major contributor to sales growth.
Total sales rose 7.3 percent to $165.6 billion, while global e-commerce sales climbed 26 percent. Walmart also reported growth in advertising and membership income, both of which have become important to its broader business strategy.
CFO John Rainey said the company will continue to position itself as a value-focused retailer despite rising prices and consumers becoming increasingly cost-conscious.
'We see with our customers that the high-income customers is spending with confidence into many categories, while the lower-income consumer is more budget conscious and perhaps navigating financial distress,' Rainey said in May.
Earlier this year, 'premium' drugstore brand La Roche-Posay joined Walmart's shelves in an effort to expand its customer base after initially being sold to US shoppers at Ulta Beauty and Target.
Prices for La Roche-Posay products hover around the same price point, regardless of whether customers buy them at Target, Ulta or Walmart.

La Roche-Posay is now available in-store at over 1,400 Walmart locations nationwide
A travel-approved La Roche-Posay matte face moisturizer costs a whopping $24.97 on the Walmart website.
Just under seven ounces of SPF 50 UV Pro-Sport Sunscreen will run online Walmart customers $32.97.
For comparison, seven ounces of Coppertone's SPF 50 Sport Sunscreen Lotion costs $8.88 online at Walmart. Banana Boat's version of the same product costs $8.97.
Walmart is a major player in the discounted retail space, with over 5,000 'supercenters' in the United States alone.
The company recently announced plans to remodel more than 650 stores across the US and open roughly 20 additional stores in 2026 and early 2027.
Walmart confirmed the projects are intended to modernize stores, improve convenience, create construction jobs and strengthen local economies.
