A Walmart shopper has revealed the ultimate hack while preparing for moving day after ordering boxes online and receiving much more than he paid for.

In a now-viral video, the customer revealed he had purchased 24 boxes online before telling viewers he was 'gonna do a little unpacking video' now the shipment had arrived.

Opening the first box, he revealed a mass of inflated protective packaging and said: 'All this stuff to protect our item in here,' before pulling out a flat box.

With each box being sent individually, his order had doubled the number of boxes he had and gave him package protection for no extra cost.

The shopper began by saying that they were 'gonna do a little unpacking video' after a huge shipment of 24 boxes arrived on their doorstep

In the video, he makes it clear the item was at the bottom of the large cardboard box. Once he put the package protection to the side and pulled the item out, he said: 'We have... one box.'

He continued holding up the item: 'One box! And every single one of these has the same thing in it.'

The video ended with a thumbs up and a big smile as he said: 'Good job Walmart.'

'I'm seeing two boxes for the price of one plus packing fluff,' said another comment.

Others also saw the comedic circumstances of the situation, one wrote: 'thank goodness for that packaging. wouldn't want the boxes to get damaged in the boxes.'

Plenty of viewers recounted their own experiences with deliveries of multiple boxes when ordering online, user Jane said: 'I ordered 50 zippers once and they came one by one over the course of two weeks.'

The hack saved the shopper money he might have spent buying more boxes and package protection.

The hack saved the shopper money for buying more boxes and package protection, and some users even suggested he return the boxes he paid for and keep the delivery boxes

He pulled the item out, he said: 'We have... one box. One box! And every single one of these has the same thing in it.'

Some users even suggested he return the boxes he paid for and keep the ones they were delivered in.

Walmart, according to News19, offers customers two delivery options.

They can choose from 'recyclable paper mailers and right-sizing cardboard box packaging', these efforts are supposed to eliminate 'any unused space in the box'.

This approach will reportedly reduce the need for filler by 60 percent, and reduce waste caused by oversized boxes by 26 percent, reported the outlet.

Customers may also have the option to have shipments delivered together in fewer boxes, which is expected to further reduce waste and number of shipments.

'This transition is expected to eliminate 65 million plastic bag mailers or more than 2,000 tons of plastic from circulation in the US by the end of the fiscal year,' said News19.
