Both Warzone and a mission from Modern Warfare 4’s campaign will be included as part of the beta, letting you try out battle royale and single-player alongside the new multiplayer.
The Modern Warfare 4 Early Access beta kicks off on August 21, then it’ll be open to everyone a week later on August 28. Typically, these betas feature a select few maps, weapons, and Operators from the full multiplayer experience, but this year, that’s not all.
Activision announced that the ‘Entrenched’ mission from Modern Warfare 4’s globe-trotting campaign will be included in week one of the beta, then the Open Beta brings the new Resurgence map ‘Zodiac’ a week later.
Not only does Warzone arrive in the beta’s second weekend, but it also brings the large-scale Ground War mode. However, DMZ won’t be included as part of either beta weekend, so you’ll need to wait until launch on October 23 to access the extraction-based mode.
On the multiplayer side of things, the Early Access beta brings five multiplayer maps (including the ever-changing Kill Block) and nine modes. Then, all that content returns as part of the Open Beta, but also with the Hijack and Combat Outpost modes.
We don’t know what weapons will be included yet, but expect a handful of Assault Rifles, SMGs, Sniper Rifles, and more.
You can get early access to the beta by winning a giveaway as part of the CoD Next Event on August 21, pre-ordering Modern Warfare 4, or having Discord Nitro. If not, you only have a week to wait to play all the same content and more.
