Recently unearthed footage, which featured CNN cutting Vice President JD Vance’s microphone during an interview, reignited the controversy over the network’s bias against the president and his America First policies. More recently, Karoline Leavitt, White House press secretary, clashed with CNN journalist and White House correspondent Kaitlin Collins over CNN’s poor behavior in the White House.

For context, this interview was held less than 2 months before the 2024 U.S. presidential election, and featured Vance speaking to CNN’s John Berman about Trump’s views on abortion. Abortion policy was one of the significant issues in the 2024 election cycle, especially after the 2022 Supreme Court decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade.

During the contentious August 30, 2024, interview, John Berman unsuccessfully tried to stump JD Vance with pointed questions. However, as Vance tried to counter, he was stopped by a supposedly accidental audio issue. Vance said, “Look, the President, I’m sure, will tell the American people how he’s going to vote on it eventually, but he wasn’t making an announcement last night. So…”

After several seconds of silence, the biased journalist sarcastically asked if the issue was Trump’s poor grammar. When the audio returned, Vance replied with his own question. He asked, “Sorry, could you repeat that, John?”

Responding arrogantly, Berman asked another question during the persistent technical difficulties. He said, “It was a grammar thing? It was a speech thing? It was it was somehow some confusion in the words that he chose? Senator Vance, can you hear me?… I may be super staticky. You may not be hearing the loud baritone of my voice here.”

After resolving the technical issues, Vance fired back and shut down the haughty CNN anchor. He continued, “Well, again, John, and thanks. I can hear you much better now. I appreciate you guys fixing that. But look, the President is simply saying he doesn’t like six weeks. He obviously has said he doesn’t like late-term abortion, and I think he will make an announcement on what he actually wants to do on the Florida law in particular.”

Concluding his remarks, Vance reiterated Trump’s consistent application of conservative values. Vance said, “But again, President Trump has been extremely consistent that he’s going to make this decision as a citizen of Florida. But he wants the national government that he intends to lead to be focused on national issues like inflation, the cost of housing, and the wide-open southern border. He wants states to make their own abortion policy, and that will be his position for the remainder of the campaign and the remainder of his presidency.”

During Karolin Leavitt’s clash with CNN, she utterly demolished CNN journalist Kaitlin Collins,  by telling the so-called journalist to do her job as a journalist rather than posture as an activist. When Collins asked a sarcastic question, a smirking Leavitt told the woke CNN reporter, “You’re a reporter, you should find out.”
