Democrat Senator Adam Schiff released a panic-fueled video targeting Dan Bongino in another desperate attempt to discredit conservative voices; labeling Bongino a right-wing conspiracy theorist who is unfit for the role of Deputy Director of the FBI. In the video, Sen. Schiff accused Bongino of promoting conspiracy theories on his wildly popular podcast, The Dan Bongino Show, an ironic allegation given Sen. Schiff’s history of promoting the slanderous Russian Collusion hoax.
As background, Dan Bongino was born in New York City; Bongino served honorably with the NYPD before becoming a Secret Service Agent, protecting presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. His extensive security background earned him widespread respect, bolstering his credibility as a leading candidate for Deputy Director of the FBI. His investigative rigor in government accountability has won him immense public support, making Senator Schiff’s latest attack transparently political.
In the video, Sen. Schiff pushed ridiculously alleged conspiracy theories about Bongino. Explicitly stating: “That’s Dan Bongino, right-wing conspiracy theorist podcaster. He will be the number two at the FBI… known for conspiracy theories; this is a guy who has zero experience at the FBI. He has not worked a day in his life for the FBI.”
Sen. Schiff’s video further escalated claims that Bongino would prioritize politics over public safety, accusing him of being focused on political payback, asserting he would neglect to go after fentanyl traffickers, murderers, and violent criminals and gangs. Sen. Schiff claimed Bongino’s appointment would dangerously disrupt FBI operations, adding, “This number two position has access and buy-in on some of the most sensitive operations the FBI does when they engage in surveillance of foreign spies operating in the United States.”
Social media quickly rallied behind Bongino, countering Sen. Schiff’s narrative with facts. One prominent X post said, “Meet Dan Bongino. NYC-born former NYPD Officer, Secret Service Agent who worked Presidential Protection Details on Bush/Obama & our next FBI Deputy Director. Dan asked all the correct questions immediately following the 7/13 Butler attempt on President Trump. The time for answers has arrived. Dan once said, “Big people do big things, pick up the phone.” Dan picked up the phone and chose to leave the largest podcast in service to our republic. Godspeed & Thank You.”
In another supportive post on X, a user references the fact that Democratic Sen. Schiff lied to the American public about President Trump’s Russian Collusion Hoax for years. The post added, “This is what Dan Bongino had to say on Adam Schiff and the Russian Collusion Hoax: “He’s been on the television, now for a year, looking in the face of you, America, and lying to every one of you…” He is now the Deputy FBI Director.” Here is the video of Sen. Bongino announced to his X account on March 17 a brilliant outline of his values and mission that he is bringing to the Deputy Director role. Bongiono said, “It is an honor to serve as Deputy Director for the Federal Bureau of Investigation at such a critical time for our nation. The American people deserve a justice system that is transparent, accountable, and committed to the rule of law. My promise to you is that I will work tirelessly to help restore integrity, eliminate political bias, and ensure the FBI remains dedicated to its core mission of protecting the United States and upholding the Constitution.”
Ultimately, Senator Schiff’s attack has had the opposite of its intended effect, galvanizing support around the new Deputy Director of the FBI, Dan Bongino. Senator Schiff’s desperate smear tactics once again highlight Democrats’ ongoing strategy of distraction, shifting focus away from genuine accountability and attempting to keep the American public blind to corruption and the truth.
