In a moment that went viral on social media, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) slammed PBS CEO Paula Kerger for lying about explicit children’s programming that aired on the publicly supported network. Green hammered home the obvious dishonesty by playing the “sick propaganda” and mocking the bizarre segment, which featured a drag queen performing to children.
For context, this video was recorded during a March 26, 2025, hearing titled “Anti-American Airwaves: Holding the Heads of NPR and PBS Accountable,” chaired by Greene under the House Oversight Committee’s DOGE subcommittee. The hearing is part of a broader push by President Donald Trump to defund biased public broadcasters, like PBS, which receives $535 million in annual federal funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Such was shown when MTG held Kerger’s feet to the fire by introducing the inappropriate segment. She said, “As mentioned earlier, PBS was the outlet that featured the child predator drag queen on the education show for kids ages three to eight years old. And to clarify the record, because our witness, Miss Kerger, lied under oath and said it wasn’t featured on PBS, this show was aired on PBS on April 1, 2021, and we will take a look at this video right now.”
Jumping right in, the courageous congresswoman played the offensive clip. The bizarrely dressed performer sang, “So get your singing voices ready. We’re going to start with our hips, the hips on the drag queen, go, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, swish, the shoulders on the drag queen, go, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy.”
Continuing her epic takedown, Rep. Greene mocked the outlandish performance. She sarcastically said, “Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, now the dragon goes blah blah blah all through the town.
The hips go, swish, swish, swish. The shoulders go, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy. That’s repulsive. That’s not what children, ages three to eight, should ever be watching a grown, biological man posing as a woman.”
Concluding her remarks, the Republican demolished the dishonest CEO. She said, “And by the way, Miss Kerger, that was aired on April 1, 2021, and then something happened. It wasn’t an accident, and it wasn’t just for a brief time that it was up. It aired on April 1, and then somehow expired on May 24. Later on, it was taken down…I wonder… why that was taken down.”

In the comments under MTG’s post, users were incensed by the lying CEO and the freakish performance. One of the comments read, “As a mother to two small children, this PMO royally!! Thank you MTG for sticking up for the children!! This is sickening!! They need to leave children ALONE!!”
Doubting the narrative that this program was aired accidentally, some comments called out PBS for its dishonesty. One of the replies explained, “As a veteran in television on-air operations who worked in the enemy’s camp for decades, I can almost guarantee you that this was no accident…In my opinion, this was a deliberate attempt to test pilot this material in order to observe any and all reaction.”
