Speaking in a video posted to her account on X, Trump Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed to enact serious retribution against the domestic terrorists who have gone to war with Tesla, saying in the video that a certain Tesla dealership attacker from the blue state of Colorado will face two decades in prison for his crimes.
As background, the case about which Bondi spoke was that of Cooper Jo Frederick, who allegedly attacked a Tesla dealership in the town of Loveland, Colorado, on March 7, committing just the sort of domestic terror attack that President Trump previously vowed would be taken incredibly seriously by his administration.
Describing the attack that Frederick allegedly committed in a statement, the Loveland Police Department said, “On Thursday, March 13th, 2025, the Loveland Police Department arrested 24-year-old Cooper Jo Frederick, a Fort Collins resident. The arrest was based on probable cause obtained through a continued investigation concerning repeated criminal acts at the Loveland Tesla, located at 1606 N. Lincoln Avenue.”
Continuing, the department noted that Frederick’s firebomb attack on the Tesla dealership had put several individuals at risk of bodily harm, saying, “This arrest comes after a March 7th incident, where an incendiary device was ignited and thrown at the Tesla building, landing between two vehicles. Several people inside, who were cleaning the building, were put at risk; however, our responding officer quickly extinguished the fire, preventing further harm. The building and several vehicles were also damaged by rocks during this same time.”
AG Bondi, for her part, said that “justice is coming,” as the Department of Justice will ensure that Tesla attackers such as Frederick will face serious federal charges, and that the DOJ will be seeking the maximum sentencing possible rather than negotiating plea deals.
Beginning the video, the attorney general noted that she has made it clear to the public that the domestic terrorism against Tesla will be treated as such. She said, “I’ve made it clear, if you take part in the wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, we will find you, arrest you, and put you behind bars.”
Continuing, she described the DOJ’s response to Frderick’s case and how his alleged firebombing of the dealership is being taken most seriously. As she put it: “Today, I’m proud to announce that the Department of Justice has unsealed federal charges against another Tesla attacker. We’ve charged Cooper Frederick in the firebombing of a Tesla dealership that occurred on March 7 in Loveland, Colorado.”

Building on that point, AG Bondi noted that Frederick put numerous lives in danger with his domestic terror attack, and so the DOJ will be trying to lock him up for decades. She said, “All of these cases are a serious threat to public safety. Therefore, there will be no negotiating. We are seeking 20 years in prison.”
Concluding, she described how the arrest was made many miles away from the site of the attack, saying, “The crime was committed in Colorado, and thanks to the great investigative work by the FBI, the defendant was arrested in Plano, Texas. Let this be a warning. You can run, but you cannot hide. Justice is coming you.”
