Prime Minister Keir Starmer has vowed to act in Britain's national interest following recent trade actions by the United States.

In a statement delivered at Downing Street, the Prime Minister acknowledged the significance of the US President's ten per cent tariff.

The Prime Minister acknowledged that we are "living in a changing world, entering a new era" that requires a robust response.

"I've instructed my team to move further and faster on the changes I believe will make our economy stronger and more resilient," Starmer revealed.
