“We’ve Reached Peak Circus”: Leftists Hold Pro-Algae Protest to Attack Trump for Cleaning Monument [WATCH]

In what might be the peak of leftist absurdity, even for the Trump years, a collection of angry anti-Trump protesters gathered next to the recently renovated Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., to protest the fact that Trump has had the Interior Department clean the algae out of the Reflecting Pool so that it would look nice for America 250 celebrations.

President Trump, for reference, has made a big deal out of having cleaned up the Reflecting Pool, comparing it to the famous moment that made him a celebrity, when he saved Wollman Skating Rink in Central Park under cost and under time after years of expensive dithering by the city.

In one such post, for example, he said, “All work is complete! Great American Patriots, primarily from the Great State of Oklahoma, plus Doug Burgum, Secretary of the Interior, inspecting the very complex, but powerful, Dark Blue surface of the Reflecting Pool, prior to submerging it in CLEAN, BEAUTIFUL WATER. It was originally opened in 1922, but never functioned properly — now it does!”

He added, hilariously thanking himself, “Thank you President Trump, thank you Department of the Interior — AND THE BEST IS YET TO COME with The Trump Promenade at The Lincoln Memorial, and The Triumphal Arch, which will be, along with the White House Ballroom, when completed, the Greatest Structure in Washington.”

Well, the left is unhappy about that, and has taken to conducting pro-algae protests at the Reflecting Pool to show their dissatisfaction with the president and his pro-cleanliness agenda. Drawing attention to the incident on X, DC-based reporter Emily Miller said, “There is a pro algae protest of three at the Lincoln Reflecting Pool. We’ve reached peak circus.”

Commenters chimed in to joke and say things like “No way 😂😂😂 Leftists are the dumbest people of all time haha. Trump Derangement Syndrome really just destroys people” and “We’ve reached a point where many Americans are actively rooting against America. This is not sustainable, to say the least. This country is splitting in two.”

Regardless of their insane antics, the renovated Reflecting Pool will be a scene of much America 250 celebration this summer, as the president announced on Truth Social. He said, “On July 4th, at The Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, in beautiful and safe Washington D.C., we are going to host the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all, a “TRIBUTE TO AMERICA.” Starting at 7 P.M. EST, this HUGE Celebration will honor our Country’s People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs. With the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial and surrounding the beautifully new Reflecting Pool, more than 300 Members of our strong and talented Military Bands, Orchestras, and Ceremonial Units, will perform Patriotic Melodies and American Classics, and my Playlist (We will have none of those people that put you to sleep and constantly complain!), as we celebrate our Country, and Rally into the next 250 years.”

He added, “This ensemble will be the largest formation of Joint Military Music and Ceremonial performances in History.
