Vice President Kamala Harris has tried to portray her upbringing as “middle class” and even working class — touting a summer job at McDonald’s and claiming to be from Oakland, a blue-collar city with a large black population. However, a close look at her childhood shows that Harris and her younger sister grew up with many opportunities that many “middle class” children do not have, such as living abroad, private school education, and growing up in some of the wealthiest locales in the world.

She was never from Oakland.
The hospital she was born in was in Oakland.
She pretends to be black American from the Oakland hood. Her parents in fact were not Americans, graduate students at University of California studying for PhD’s.
She of course isn’t American all, except a citizen based on technicality of birth location.
She lived her very early life in nice areas of Berkeley and in Iowa in a University town.
She spent her formative years in Montreal in Canada’s richest community.All through junior high, high school, one year of college. Then she went to a US college, a historically black college and she, like so any trustafarian types, became black and down with the struggle.
