Wheel of Fortune Vanna White has opened up about her iconic wardrobe on the popular game show, and revealed what happens to her outfits once filming wraps.

The longtime co-host, 68, has famously been tasked with turning the letters on the puzzle board for over four decades - and she always does so in fabulous style.

During her appearance on Thursday's The Drew Barrymore Show, the star was asked by the host if she could confirm just how many dresses she's worn over the years.

Vanna admitted that she has donned an astonishing 8,000 outfits so far on the show - debuting a new dress or look for each episode since 1982.

'I’ve worn over 8,000 gowns,' the TV star noted. 'I don’t get to keep them.'

However, she revealed she is allowed to dip into the archives on special occasions after Barrymore asked: 'Do you ever think about keeping some of the clothes? Do you ever want to take some of the clothes home?

White noted: 'They do let me borrow them for [events] — the Emmys or whatever. Every day a different dress for all of these years. 42 years.'

Meanwhile, her son Nikko Santo Pietro revealed that his mother is all about having 'full PJs days' when she's not on the air and is spending time at home.

White noted: 'Because we get dressed up to work. That’s the last thing we wanna do when we’re at home.'

The revelation comes after one of White's more flamboyant outfits caused the puzzle board to malfunction last week.

She raised eyebrows as she opted for a black Capri pantsuit with dramatic white cuffs on the sleeves during March 13's episode.

White paired the chic look with a pair of black sling back heels and was perfectly ready to complete her letter turning duties as usual.

However, it appeared that the large cuffs were getting in the way of the motion-activated sensors for the puzzle board - with the star having to more intentionally touch each screen in order to reveal the letters.

Thankfully, White was able to find the best way to work around the issue caused by her sleeves.

Just days before that, the longtime co-host revealed that she only films the show for 34 days each year.

The host - who is reportedly on a $10 million a year salary - made the surprising admission after the Elvis Duran Morning Show's co-host Danielle Monaro revealed she had only recently discovered the show didn't air live.

White then explained that filming took place on a tight schedule.

'We film about 34 days a year. That's it,' she told the stunned hosts. 'But [we film] six shows a day.'

She then joked: 'Come on. You could feel bad for me.'

Duren didn't hold back as he responded: 'I don't feel sorry for you one bit. That sounds like a great job.'

Monaro noted that White's tightly-packed filming schedule would involve a large number of outfit changes as she noted: 'That's six different dresses a day.'

The radio hosts then tried to confirm if that meant White got 331 days off per year, to which she replied: 'Yeah, I guess so. I've never looked at it like that.'
