For many, the chance to attend Hollywood's most prestigious ceremonies as the glamorous arm candy of your Oscar-nominated boyfriend is privilege enough.
Not for a certain reality TV star.
As Timothée Chalamet continues to cruise towards the upper echelons of Tinseltown, Kylie Jenner is said to have been left dissatisfied with her role as supporting girlfriend. And she's taking action.
No stranger to life in front of the camera, the youngest sibling of the Kardashian clan, Jenner, 27, has decided she wants to be more than a plus one... she wants to be a leading lady.
Indeed, an insider has told the Daily Mail that the 'self-made' billionaire and makeup mogul is taking a leaf out of Chalamet's book and pursuing a career in acting.
But when she excitedly shared her plans with her boyfriend, it is said that Jenner's announcement apparently 'blindsided' Chalamet, 29.

Nonetheless, we are also told that Jenner is 'seriously pushing' her thespian boyfriend to help her score a big break. 'She would love to star opposite Timothée in a romantic movie,' our source said.
'Timothée's not usually lost for words, but he was when Kylie told him out of nowhere that she has been flirting with acting for years and is now considering pursuing it seriously,' the insider added. 'She then asked him for guidance and any help.'
Chalamet is said to be worried of how Jenner will handle the inevitable rejection that will come with trying to make it in the acting world, but we are told she is adamant she can handle it - especially since other so-called 'nepo-babies' have seen success in the industry despite having no relevant experience.
'When Timothée finally recovered from the shock of her admission, he tried convincing her how tough the business is,' the source said. 'Kylie countered by saying she's watched Kaia Gerber [daughter of model Cindy Crawford] getting role after role and sees no reason why she can't follow in her footsteps.
'But why would she subject herself to the rejection that goes along with acting when she's such a huge success in her own right?'
It's a fair question, especially considering the great success Jenner has already scored.
Her Kylie Cosmetics brand – which spawned a generation of plump-lipped tweens thanks to her wildly popular 'Lip Kits' – was founded in 2015.
Just two years later, she sold a 51 percent stake in the brand to beauty giant Coty for a staggering $600 million; it was a deal that put the company at a $1.2 billion valuation and boosted Jenner's personal net worth to $900 million.
Elsewhere, she also owns her 'Khy' fashion line, which launched in November 2023, and a drinks brand, 'Sprinter'.
As the ultimate influencer, there is no denying Jenner's ability to pull in a paying audience. She has over 394 million Instagram followers.
So it's perhaps no surprise that Jenner now 'truly believes she has what it takes' to be an actress - boosted by the support of her silver-screen star boyfriend.
'After much persuasion Timothée advised her to get into a serious acting class, see if she likes the craft, then take it from there. She is more than willing and wants to learn everything she can,' the insider said.

Since starting up their romance in January 2023, Jenner has been a regular at this year's awards show circuit, draped on the arm of Chalamet, who was most recently nominated for his lead role in the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unkown.
Indeed, the glitzy experience seems to have given her the acting bug.
Jenner has previously dabbled in acting, having made a cameo in the 2018 female-led heist movie Ocean's Eight. She has also starred in music videos for her ex-Travis Scott – the father of her children – and Kanye West, who was once married to her older sister Kim Kardashian, 44. Kim recently tried her hand at acting with a role in American Horror Story.
'Kim has done it and there is no reason why Kylie can't try,' our source said.
