The White House has asked the scandal-ridden Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, to resign, according to the new Press Secretary Katie Zacharia.

Zacharia announced that the administration had formally asked Guilfoyle to resign from her post after President Donald Trump told reporters Monday he was considering firing her.

Guilfoyle most recently made headlines for reportedly flaunting her lavish jet-setting, asking Trump donor Eric Deters to wire her $100,000 to her American Express account, and offering tycoons access to Trump. Notably, the wire transfer never occurred, and Guilfoyle’s lawyer disputes these claims. “We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign,” Zacharia said during her debut briefing on Monday. “She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well.”

Guilfoyle is reportedly under investigation by the State Department’s Office of Inspector General after soliciting Deters to wire her $100,000.

“She was so desperate for that $100,000. It was a quid pro quo,” Deters said in an interview with NBC News. “She said I could ask her for anything and everything in Trump world. There was no request too big.”

Trump suggested Guilfoyle’s job was in jeopardy when speaking with members of the press on Sunday. (RELATED: STATE OF FRIDAY: Kimberly Guilfoyle And The Death Of The Diplomat)

“Well, we’re looking at it,” Trump said when asked if he was considering firing Guilfoyle. “We’re not happy about it.”

At the time of this writing, Guilfoyle has not resigned.
