U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle has been asked to resign amid allegations of improper conduct, the White House said on Oct. 13.
“We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign,” new White House press secretary Katie Zacharia said during her first press briefing. “She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well.”
Guilfoyle, 57, has been accused of misconduct, and President Donald Trump had said on Monday he was considering terminating her.
Guilfoyle has denied the allegations.
