Social media users have been left divided after podcast host Joey Camasta claimed that season three of The White Lotus features the 'most famous person in the world.'
During a recent episode of the Out & About podcast, Joey was chatting with his cohost Barstool Pat about the hit HBO series, when he mentioned a particular cast member.
'Did you know that Mook... the girl that's in love with the front desk guy?' Joey asked Pat, before claiming: 'Do you know that she's the most famous person in the world? She's from Blackpink, that's Lisa from Blackpink.'
'What's Blackpink?' Pat asked, as Joey responded: 'The most famous K-pop band in the world.'
Joey continued: 'She's bigger than Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, she's the biggest pop star in the world.
'They didn't wanna hire her because they said, 'the security detail we're gonna have to have just to have her there everyday with bodyguards'... she's the biggest star they've ever had on The White Lotus.'
However, when the snippet of their conversation was posted on Instagram, people were quick to have their say - and many didn't agree with Joey.
'Lmao I love Lisa but she's not bigger than Gaga,' one person commented.

Another said: 'Lol. She's not the biggest pop star in the world. You're a bit much for saying she's bigger than Gaga or Britney. Sorry but let's be truthful too.'
A third person said, 'Bigger than Lady Gaga or Britney? Please!' and a fourth added: 'Bigger than Gaga and Britney Spears? Sure.'
A fifth Instagram user pointed out: 'Having a lot of followers doesn't make you the most famous "in the world." There are almost five billion people in Asia, I'm going to assume most of her followers live there.
'To be the most famous in the world she would have to be known all over the world. Is she?' they added.
'Well bigger than Gaga is an overstatement… she's famous, yes, but not THAT famous,' someone else said.
A different person commented: 'You're doing WAAAAAY too much here, Lisa's big but I wouldn't say she's bigger than some other pop stars you mentioned. Bigger than Britney Spears??? Wmm…'
And another argued: 'Everyone in Asia knows gaga and Britney, just a small percentage in America know who she is.'
Others were quick to mock Pat's reaction as one said: 'Americans discover the rest of the world its my favorite thing.'

Another wrote: 'Americans realizing there's an entire world of celebs outside of Hollywood.'
And someone else said: 'Everyone who doesn't think Lisa is bigger than Britney or lady gaga have never been outside the US lol.'
In an interview with Variety, Lisa, 28, opened up about her acting debut and said that Mook is just like her, 'but flirtier and lady-like... I'm more like a tomboy.'
She also admitted how she felt on the first day of shooting and said: 'I'm so nervous; I was sweating. I was like, 'I can't remember my lines. I'm blanked!''
