From John Adams to the Massachusetts Militia — 11 October 1798
“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge,or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

I’d like to know how they know so much about which states it depends on. The states they are planning the big cheat no doubt. Delay the count, find more ballots, keep counting, reset the computer, subtract from the good guy, add to the bad guy.

Me too. It would be wonderful to have a candidate who would quote our founding fathers’ intentions (through their own words) in every speech made. We need frequent reminders of who we are and where we came from.
