Why CNN is changing up its polling for 2024

Polls of the 2020 presidential election were at their collective worst in 40 years.

No misfire that year was more striking than CNN’s. Its final poll before the election estimated that Joe Biden held a landslide-size lead of 12 percentage points over then-President Donald Trump.

That reading was down from early October 2020, when CNN reported Biden’s advantage stood at 16 points. No polling organization in 2020 reported a greater margin in the presidential race, according to the RealClearPolitics compilation of polls that year. Biden won the popular vote by 4.5 points..

So far this year, CNN’s polling in the presidential race has been more generous to Trump than its surveys in 2020. CNN polls then showed consistent advantages for Biden.

In its most recent presidential poll, results of which were released in late September, CNN said Vice President Kamala Harris was leading Trump by a single percentage point among likely voters.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

I actually like to see leftists make fools of themselves with ridiculous polling numbers.

I tend to ignore polls, since most of them are skewed and don’t account for voting fraud.

One thing is, now that they won’t do all the polling in the small grassy area behind the CNN building where the staff takes breaks and lunch, they’ll have to pay for having the pollsters go somewhere else. Maybe a Hillary or Elizabeth Warren speech crowd.

CNN can stick their polling

A poll is just a press release put out by someone hoping people will believe it. I suspect 90% are totally computer-generated BS.

What CNN does is motivated by financial interests, however they perceive them.

There are only a handful of accurate polls and even those are really best used to discern momentum shifts and target groups.

Modeling turnout is tricky especially when some “turnout” is really ballot harvesting and massive mail out ballots. Gauging voter enthusiasm to get out and vote is also tricky. Dems usually like to incite racial violence to get the black vote riled up enough to vote, so far we haven't seen their election year riots.

This year, inflation and crime/border and stagnant wages might inspire people to vote, but that's not good for Kamala.

Also: "There is no evidence of fraud in the 2020 election."

Polls are only disinformation tools...
Only “tools” pay attention to them...

October 2020, when CNN reported Biden’s advantage stood at 16 points.

Well, if it had a 16 point margin of error it might have been less laughable.

“But in a CNN-sponsored discussion before the 2022 midterm elections, Agiesta addressed the question of whether polls are accurate, saying, “I would like to think that they are.””

I have occasionally checked the polls online, checking maybe 4 or 5 different polls.

On the same day all are different.

I have this little ‘vision’ in my head of the guys over at these places doing the polls, getting it all to say what they want, putting it out there, and knowing it’s bogus, and laughing.

I can’t get that thought out of my head.

They lied, but it was effective for the coming steal.
