While Lily-Rose Depp has followed in the footsteps of her famous parents - Johnny, 61, and French actress Vanessa Paradis, 51 - her sibling Jack has shunned fame.

Lily-Rose, 25, has broken away from the nepo-baby mould with critics hailing her performance as 'outstanding' in the reboot of the 1922 movie, Nosferatu.

But Jack, 22, has remained out of the spotlight and - despite a brief film cameo in 2016 - hasn't been tempted to pursue a Hollywood career.

This week, Lily-Rose gave a rare insight into her family life and how they had a normal childhood in France despite their parents being global stars.

Jack, who is is Johnny and Vanessa's youngest child, was born Johnny Christopher Depp III in Neuilly-sur-Seine, just west of Paris. The couple never married and were together from 1998 to 2012.

Vanessa previously spoke about how it was easier to raise their children anonymously in France compared to the bright lights of Los Angeles, where Hollywood would have been on their doorstep.

Jack, 22, has remained out of the spotlight and - despite a brief film cameo n in Yoga Hosers in 2016 - hasn't been tempted to pursue a Hollywood career.

'I indeed keep them away from the cameras, because I don’t want our children to be forced to share in our fame against their will. They didn’t ask for that. Not yet. The day that they will decide for themselves to do things that might bring them into the spotlights, then I won’t stop them,' she told Weekend Knack.

'For my children I secretly choose France, even though Los Angeles is great too', she said.

'We raise them bilingually anyway, so for them it doesn’t really matter. Only, in the south of France you can live much more anonymously. And that’s bliss.'

While being interviewed by Keira Knightley for Interview magazine in 2021, Lily-Rose revealed they used to use their French as a 'secret language' when they were at school in America.

'When my brother and I were at the same school, whenever we wanted to say something that was going to stay just between us, we could say it in French and nobody would understand,' she said.

Jack had a brief film cameo in Yoga Hosers back in 2016, but he wasn't interested in following in his parents' footsteps when it came to pursuing an acting career.

'My boy, Jack, has always been a very talented draftsman,' Johnny told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

'He draws really super well. He also plays music very well. He's got a good feel for that. Aside from school plays and things, he hasn't shown any desire to become an actor. Whew.'

Lily, meanwhile, has followed in her parents' footsteps and has begun to forge a successful acting career in Hollywood

Jack has his own social media, but he hasn't updated it in the past three years. Past posts show the keen guitarist, who bears a striking resemblance to Johnny, enjoying boozy night outs

Jack was part of a band called Clown Boner and just like his father, he played the guitar. The band disbanded in 2016 and reformed under the new name Along Came Tragedy, but Jack didn't join the new line-up.

'We don’t need a paternity test,' Johnny, who is in a rock band called the Hollywood Vampires, told Rolling Stone in 2018. 'That’s my kid.'

Johnny admitted his ex-wife Amber Heard's abuse allegations in 2016 had an impact on Jack, who was a teenager at the time.

He told GQ Magazine: 'I’m sure it wasn’t easy for my 14-year-old boy to go to school, you know what I mean? With people going, "Hey, look at this magazine, man. What, your dad beats up chicks or something?"

'Why did he have to go through that? Why did my daughter have to go through that?'

During Johnny's trial in 2022, Jack remained out of the spotlight, as did Lily-Rose.

In June 2022, the judge ruled Johnny won the defamation case against Amber and subjected her to pay The Pirates of the Caribbean star $10.3million.

Jack has remained out of the spotlight unlike his famous family.

In 2020 Jack was in a relationship French model Camille Jansen (pictured), but they split later

That same year, it was reported he was dating French model Camille Jansen with her sharing an Instagram tribute at the time.

But the pair reportedly split later, with Camille still friends with Lily-Rose.

This week the actress called him 'the coolest person ever' and says he's fully supportive of her latest starring role.

Lily plays Ellen Hutter, a young woman suffering from seizures when possessed by vampire Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård) in the Robert Eggers chilling remake.

'This one in particular was big for me, because my brother and I both were super obsessed with Dracula when we were younger. My brother used to dress up like Dracula when he was a kid for school,' Lily-Rose said to Interview Magazine

'I was like, "Wow, if I get this part my brother's going to finally think I'm cool," ' she added. 'It's the classic thing of when you have a younger sibling, they think you're so cool when you're kids, and then when you get older, now I think he's so cool, and I'm like, "Let's hang!" And he's like, "I'm busy." But yeah, I think I got some points with this one.'

Lily-Rose also has a close relationship with her parents and told her friend Natalie she is "so grateful" to them for making her and Jack's childhood as normal as possible despite their nomadic lifestyle.

'I definitely want to have kids and when that time comes, I'll be bringing them around. I grew up that way, and as much as there were moments where I was like, "I want to be at school with my friends," now that I'm older, I'm so grateful,' she explained of her upbringing on film sets.

'Not only that I have travelled so much, thanks to my parents having to bring me around, but also for what I now see as the work that they put into making sure that my brother and I had a life in these places that were not ours. '

'At the time I wouldn't have seen it, but now I see that as conscious efforts that my parents were making to make me and my brother feel at home.'
