REDDING, CA — Sources revealed that Georgia Mendlerot was over the moon on Friday after her husband recited a verse from Song of Solomon comparing her to a horse.
Mendlerot reportedly swooned at the romantic verse, ecstatic that she had found a husband who views her as possessing the strength, majesty, and beauty of a horse. And not just a horse, but a whole company of horses.
"Oh, my darling, ‘I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots,'" her husband said, quoting from Song of Solomon 1:9. He then knelt down to catch her as she swooned, adding, "‘Your cheeks are lovely with ornaments, Your neck with chains of gold.' Not unlike a horse."
Mendlerot later commented that she had never felt more attracted to her husband. "And he even quoted from the King James Version," she later told a group of close friends, eliciting gasps of "Oh my" and "Dan only speaks to me in New American Standard."
At publishing time, Mendlerot had returned the favor by lovingly comparing her husband to a yak.
