One person was killed and four others injured when a car jumped the curb and slammed into a bus stop in Miami over the weekend — with the shocking hit-and-run tragedy caught on surveillance video.

The drama unfolded around 9 a.m. Saturday in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, when the car sped onto the sidewalk and struck several people sitting at the bus stop, with one person ejected from the car and another trapped inside as the driver fled the scene, WTVJ-TV News reported.

“The car flipped over in front,” one eyewitness to the fatal mishap told the outlet. “A lot of people called 911. The black car flipped. I’m so scared. It’s not safe.”

The car zoomed past a white pickup truck stopped at the intersection of Northwest 17th Avenue and 54th Street and onto the sidewalk, shattering the bus stop canopy and mowing down several people inside before it flipped over and came to rest against a utility pole, the video shows.

Police said one person suffered minor injuries and declined medical attention but five others were rushed to the Ryder Trauma unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where one of them died.
