A Wisconsin teacher has become the latest lucky winner of Elon Musk's million-dollar giveaway.

Brian Bauer, a father-of-three from Eau Claire, was announced on Thursday evening as the newest winner of the election lottery.

Musk's pro-Trump political group America PAC has been giving out $1million prizes daily in a random draw of registered voters in swing states.

To be eligible, voters must 'pledge their support for the First and Second Amendments' - which are free speech and the right to bear arms.

The Tesla CEO and world's richest man recently announced that everyday until the presidential election, on November 5, he would giveaway a large cash sum to a random registered voter from seven swing states who have signed his America PAC petition in support of the first and second amendment

They must also reside in and be registered voters of one of seven swing states - Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania or Wisconsin.

Bauer is a beloved local middle school teacher. His commitment to his job was included in a media write up in 2021, when he attended workshops during his summer break to learn about 3D printing to teach his students.

'I came to increase my knowledge,' he said at the time.

'I can take the information I get and bring it into the classroom for my students. I’m always trying to sharpen my skills.'

America PAC issued a statement which read: 'Brian from Eau Claire, Wisconsin received $1M for signing our petition to support the Constitution.

'Every day until Election Day, a person who signs will be selected to earn $1M as a spokesperson for America PAC.'

But the Justice Department has issued repeated warnings that the daily giveaways could be violating election laws by enticing people to register to vote to receive financial gain.

It is illegal to bribe people to register to vote.

But Musk has defended the giveaway, noting voters do not have to register as Republican - or even vote on November 5 - to with the prize money.

It is illegal to pay people to register to vote or to persuade them with money to vote for specific candidates, which some people claim Musk is doing with sweepstakes

The America PAC petition was meant to target swing states before the election

'The only thing we ask for the million dollars is that you be a spokesperson for the petition. And that's it really. That's it,' the world's richest man said.

Musk said the winners are chosen randomly. The first three were all from Pennsylvania, a state most election-watchers say is crucial in either candidate's path to the White House. They were all also registered Republicans.

After the assassination attempt on Trump at his Butler, Pennsylvania rally on July 15, Musk decided to officially endorse the former president.
