Woman living in A-list star's old home scores invite to premiere so she can give them their mail back

A New York City woman realized she was living in an A-list star's old apartment after she started getting their mail... and then scored an invite to their Hollywood premiere so she could give it back.

Taylor Palmby went viral last week after she posted a video to Instagram revealing that she had received some packages in the mail addressed to Jason Sudeikis.

She asked the internet to help her get in contact with the actor so that she could reunite him with his mail.

The clip exploded, gaining over 749,000 views, and it ultimately caught the Ted Lasso star's attention.

'This video is for Jason Sudeikis,' she began in the video. 'Hi Jason, I love your work, I really do. I cannot wait for the next season of Ted Lasso.'

'I also keep getting your mail. I live in your old apartment, you get a lot of mail here,' she went on.

She held up one envelope that she believed was from the Writers Guild of America (WGA), as well as a few larger packages. 

'This one - I didn't open it - but it seems to be from the Writers Guild about the elections,' she said.

'But these packages feel bigger, more substantial and more important. I'd like to get them to you. 

'I don't know how. But maybe the internet could do their thing and tag you and you could reach out to me?'

'This is creepier, but you also know where I live,' she added with a laugh.

In an update shared days later, Palmby revealed that she had attended the premiere for the fourth season of Sudeikis's show Ted Lasso on August 4.

'The internet did do its thing and a lot of you decided to try to help me get Jason his mail. And guess what?' she said, before sharing a clip of her at the premiere.

'I'm at the Ted Lasso premiere, I'm freaking out,' she gushed from the red carpet.

She then posted a montage of clips that showed her at the event, which included her sitting in the audience and watching Sudeikis pose for cameras. 

She also shared footage of the moment she reunited Sudeikis with his mail.

She was seen approaching the actor at the event and introducing herself. 

'I'm Taylor,' she said as he shook her hand. 'I have something for you... this is your mail.'

She handed the star his packages as he happily took them, before he revealed that 'about 20 people had sent him the video.' 

'I didn't recognize [the apartment] when you showed it [in the video],' he was heard telling her. 'They must have redone it or something.'

While speaking to People about it, Palmby explained that she had moved into the apartment in May 2025 and started to receive the mail after about a month of living there.

'I was like, "No way. There’s no way this is the same Jason Sudeikis. There’s no way,"' she recalled.

'Then I looked it up on the internet, and I found some website with him on it had this as his address. I was like, "Oh, my God, I think that I’m living in Jason Sudeikis' old apartment."'

After posting the video, she said she received 'so many DMs' from people who knew Sudeikis.

Ultimately, she said someone from his team at The Agency Group PR reached out to her to invite her to the premiere and its after-party on August 4.

'It was just beautiful to ... meet Jason and connect in that way,' she gushed. 'I think it just really reminded me that things can be hard, but life is so beautiful and fun and whimsical.

'And there are really wonderful people out there that just want to make the world a more beautiful, fun, whimsical place.'

Sudeikis previously lived in a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom apartment in the Meatpacking District in New York City with his now-ex Olivia Wilde.

The two sold the condo in 2015 for $3.8 million to move into a bigger place in Brooklyn, which he still owns.
