World of Warcraft is actually adding viral raccoon Jimothy to the game

Jimothy has been taking over the internet, being added to various games through mods or certain character ideas. Well, he’s officially coming to World of Warcraft after tons of fan demand.

For those unaware of Jimothy, he’s a raccoon that’s gone viral for his rather unusual look. Due to a spinal issue, Jimothy’s body is a lot shorter, and he’s therefore a lot smaller than a typical raccoon. He was originally filmed in Seattle, which has prompted a ton of love for the adorable animal and, of course, plenty of memes.

One of the most popular memes was different games adapting Jimothy’s unique look into the style of their titles, while others, like Skyrim and Stardew Valley fans, took to adding him to the games through various mods. Well, he’s now officially joining World of Warcraft following intense demand.

Jimothy officially coming to World of Warcraft

Sharing the announcement on X, the World of Warcraft account wrote, “You asked, Jimothy answered. Coming soon to Azeroth,” attaching a short video of Jimothy running inside the game and a render of his adorable look.

This comes just under a week after they teased the news, sharing an image of Jimothy in the classic World of Warcraft design. Naturally, the comments were flooded with fans demanding he come to the game: “Please make this an actual pet in game. I will go f**king feral for Jmothy, please,” wrote one fan.

Another echoed the sentiment, asking Blizzard to “make him a battle pet, and a big Jim for a mount” or a “druid transformation.”

Currently, all we know is that Jimothy is, in fact, coming to World of Warcraft soon, though no release date has been revealed.

He’ll likely come as a battle pet rather than a mount or druid transformation, but honestly, as long as sweet little Jimothy is available for fans to use, it’s a win. Just expect to see a ton of weird little raccoons running around soon.
