From burger behemoths to international pizza joints, F&W rounds up the world's largest fast food chains.

The burger behemoth tops the list over Subway by a few hundred stores worldwide. While the Big Mac is ubiquitous in the United States, in Europe the chain also sells the Big Rösti for a limited time each year — beef patty, hash brown patty, Emmentaler cheese, and bacon on an onion-flavored bun.

This is not an advertisement for McDonald's, but I grew up in the golden era of fast food, late 60's early 70's/

I know there are a lot of local fast food chains that are favorites.
