WWE 2K26 has added one of the most unexpected characters of all time to its roster in the form of Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.

Zelnick isn’t exactly who you may think of when it comes to wrestling. The businessman is mostly known for sharing bits and pieces about GTA 6 ahead of the game’s release and discussing other titles under Take-Two’s umbrella.

But on June 2, WWE 2K26 shocked the wrestling world by adding Zelnick to its playable roster, meaning you can use him to fight John Cena or Cody Rhodes, get thrown off the Hell in a Cell by the Undertaker, or take a Stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The news caught everyone off guard, and so did his entrance, which comes with a unique song exclusive for the boss man.

Like most non-wrestlers or managers, Zelnick has an underwhelming overall of 77, but probably one of the best entrance themes possible.

While it’s exclusive to him, Zelnick’s entrance music is the legendary ‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra.

The decision to add Zelnick left the community baffled, with many wondering why he was DLC over actual wrestlers such as Paige.

His addition also comes as the CEO claimed the WWE 2K series has a lot of room to improve.

Speaking with IGN, Zelnick said the team was proud of 2K26’s Metacritic score, but added that he felt “there are ongoing opportunities to improve the quality of the game.”

“I do think that we can give consumers more of what they want. And I know our team at Visual Concepts always wants to do better. We’re never in the business of patting ourselves on the back,” he explained.

“We believe that arrogance is the enemy of continued success. And I think that title could be double or triple the size that it is as long as we delight consumers, and as long as we give them something new and not expected that’s consistent with the brand that they love. That’s our job.”

With Zelnick now in WWE 2K, it’s anyone’s guess if he’ll also end up showing up in GTA 6 once that game releases on November 19, 2026.
