Senator Chuck Schumer of New York sat in the foyer of President Biden’s Rehoboth Beach house, tired and tense. He had not slept the night before, and on the four-hour drive from Brooklyn to Delaware, he had rehearsed out loud what he planned to say, reviewing notecards as he prepared for what he thought might be the most high-stakes speech he would ever give, to an audience of one.

This is a prime example of slick, NYT propaganda.
It is a central piece of the untold story of how Mr. Schumer and congressional Democrats, who spent years batting away suggestions that Mr. Biden was too old and mentally frail to be president, ultimately led the effort to pressure him to step aside.
Mr. Shumer, Congressional Democrats and mainstream media propagandists, including NYT spent years pretending Joe Biden was "sharp as a tack" or "at the top of his game" and lying to the American people.
Joe Biden has had dementia for years, was unable to serve as President, and the truth was hidden from the American people by the democrat machine for years, with disastrous results!

We should be thankful for Democratic stupidity in regards to the presidential race.
Joe was obviously unfit to run again (and even to hold office after January 20th, 2021).
The Democrats would have been wise to let the primary system pick their 2024 candidate.

Agreed. But he has already been assessed as not prosecutable. Kindly, well meaning oldster who could never be convicted.

The article is behind paywall and I would never recommend a subscription to NYT. Just the gist of it is important to try to understand the mindset of the Manhattan, northeast liberal crowd, IMHO.
Soft, glitzy propaganda is what it is.

No sleep in 24 hours and reviewing note cards while driving. Sounds like somebody should have a few points added to their license. Schumer is a menace on the highway.
