“I’ve had hard times, but the hardest time in my life was my #WalkAway. My #WalkAway journey started when I didn’t want to get the shot.
I’m a lesbian and an environmentalist—very classically liberal. But when I didn’t want the shot, I was banished from much of my friend group. There was so much hypocrisy from the people who scream, ‘my body, my choice.’ The liberal in me is dead. The liberal in me that supported other liberals has gone away.”
