YouTuber Jack Doherty has been met with furious calls for his arrest after he was filmed using his cellphone just moments before he crashed his $300,000 custom McLaren, leaving his passenger covered in blood.
The 20-year-old was live streaming on Kick and could be seen driving with one hand and glancing down at his phone as he drove at high speed in torrential rain along the Miami highway.
The custom wrapped McLaren 570S skidded across the wet roadway before careering into the metal roadside barrier, ripping off the bonnet and destroying the entire front half of the car.
Furious social media users have now blasted Doherty for 'driving recklessly' and violating Florida law, which prohibits hand-held use of cell phones and other wireless devices while driving.
They allege Doherty should have his license 'taken away for life' and are urging Miami police to 'arrest this d**n clown' for endangering others. Some have even gone as far as suggesting his passenger should file a 'gross negligence' lawsuit against Doherty.

There were more than 185,000 people watching the Kick live stream when Doherty crashed into the metal roadside barrier on the highway.

But not before Doherty handed him the camera and said: 'Michael, here. Film on that phone too.'
Footage from the livestream shows Doherty handing his camera to someone who came to help for them to film him being dragged out of the car window after the crash as he repeatedly commented on the state of his car.
Meanwhile, David is covered in blood and holding on to his wrist which appears to be injured as other people comfort him.
Doherty eventually walked round to the other side of the McLaren and asked his friend if he was ok, but the content creator is now being criticized online for both his dangerous driving and initial response to the incident.
'He was on his phone and driving and it was raining. He cared more about his car being damaged then his friend who was injured,' one furious X user wrote.
'His license needs to be suspended indefinitely. His friend needs to file a lawsuit against Jack Doherty for gross negligence.'

'This d*****t belongs in jail for a lot of reasons, but this f*****g dumb*** WAS STREAMING HIMSELF TEXTING AND DRIVING WHILE SPEEDING IN HEAVY RAIN AS HE CRASHED,' another blasted.

Another tagged the Miami police department in their tweet, saying: 'So... Jack Doherty is gonna lose his license, right? The guy is on camera driving recklessly, absorbed in his phone, in the rain...'
'Y'all need to arrest this d**n clown,' echoed another user in a tweet mentioning the police force. 'Jack Doherty crashed his car on the Miami Highway and filmed himself breaking Florida Law. He could've killed people with his wreckless driving. His drivers license needs to be revoked and be banned from driving.'
One user added: 'Jack Doherty should have his Driving license Taken Away for Life!'
Florida law prohibits the use of cell phones and other wireless devices while driving. Drivers can use their phones in hands-free mode, but the device must not pose as a distraction.
According to the Wireless Communications While Driving Law, it is illegal for drivers text, manually type, hit buttons or read data while behind the wheel. However, voice texting and the playback of voice notes is permitted.
The wave of criticism comes after other influencers blasted Doherty for making it clear that his first worry was the state of his car and making his injured friend film content of the wreckage.

He has since been banned from streaming platform Kick for violating safety guidelines, which some believe relates to him being seen reading the live chat section of his stream whilst driving just seconds before the crash.
Doherty gained his large following of mostly teenage boys for his pranks, stunts and challenge videos which are often filmed in public places, like his Floor is Lava challenges in Walmart and Target.
His videos have garnered criticism as some believe his behavior is rude and abhorrent, with his content largely revolving around annoying and harassing people in public.
He has recently received backlash for allegedly antagonizing people for the sake of engaging content before running to hide behind his security guards to prevent the people he is provoking from touching him.
In some videos, Doherty can be seen squaring up to random strangers and having his security guard step in as soon as the person looks as if they are going to retaliate.

He stands behind the security guard, who is much larger than him, and mocks the person by making comments such as 'what are you gonna do?'.
Earlier this year, Doherty and his bodyguard, Kane Kongg, were served legal papers and are being sued by a man who claimed he was punched by Kongg - whose legal name is Justin Goslee.
But his loyal followers find his actions hilarious and entertaining, vehemently defending and encouraging his actions in comment sections and live chats
The car crash comes 10 months after Doherty flipped a golf buggy over whilst his girlfriend was in the passenger seat and posted the footage to his YouTube channel.
