A man was killed and four teenagers were wounded in a shooting in Yonkers Sunday night, and police have taken a 15-year-old suspect into custody.
Cops took a 15-year-old into custody after a shooting in Yonkers Sunday night in which a 20-year-old man was killed and four teenagers age 14-16 were wounded.A 20-year-old was killed in what authorities called a “targeted” shooting near Elm Street and Palisade Ave. around 8:43 p.m. Sunday.
Four teenagers, ranging in age from 14-16, were hospitalized in critical but stable condition after being struck by gunfire, police said.
Police called the incident near Elm Street and Palisade Ave. a “targeted shooting.”A 15-year-old male was arrested at the scene but it was not immediately clear if he had been charged.
Yonkers police told Fox5NY the incident was believed to be a “targeted shooting,” but did not offer a possible motive.
Investigators said they recovered a loaded gun and ballistic evidence of the scene, and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
