Summer Game Fest 2026 aired on June 5, bringing with it a packed showcase full of world premieres, surprise sequels, and updates on some of gaming’s biggest upcoming releases.
If you’ve been waiting years for Alien: Isolation 2, this was the show that finally delivered, while Capcom also surprised fans with the reveal of a Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake and a Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance.
We also got an early look at Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, Stranger Than Heaven, Blood Message, Star Wars Zero Company, and more. So, here’s every major announcement from the Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase.

Alien: Isolation 2
Creative Assembly finally confirmed the long-awaited sequel to 2014’s Alien: Isolation. The reveal trailer introduced a new protagonist and setting, taking players to a remote colony world battered by violent storms. Survivors will explore the dangerous Weyland-Yutani outpost known as Kurosaki Station while once again trying to evade the franchise’s iconic Xenomorph.
Alien: Isolation 2 is currently available to wishlist on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
Resident Evil Veronica
Capcom officially announced Resident Evil Veronica, the long-rumored remake of Code Veronica that originally launched in 2000. The game follows Claire Redfield’s search for her brother Chris after the events of Resident Evil 2.
The remake is set to launch on PS5 in 2027.
Stellar Blade: Blood Rain
Shift Up finally unveiled its sequel to Stellar Blade, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain. The new game continues the story after the events of the original while introducing a brand-new protagonist named Evie.
A release date has not yet been announced.
Stranger Than Heaven
RGG Studio returned with another look at its upcoming action-adventure title, Stranger Than Heaven. This time, the trailer revealed several new cast members, including iconic rapper and actor Tupac, as well as Takashi Ukaji, Yasukaze Motomiya, Takaya Kuroda, and Kohei Tsuji.
Stranger Than Heaven launches worldwide on January 15, 2027.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance is a major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds, bringing with it new regions, monsters, hunter abilities, and Master Rank quests while continuing the story established in the base game. Players will venture deeper into the Eastlands as powerful Elder Dragons threaten the region.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance launches in 2027.
Mafia: The Old Country – Man of Honor
Man of Honor adds two new story chapters set during the winter of 1905, following Enzo Favara as he works alongside a recently released Ennio Salieri. Fans of the original Mafia will recognize Salieri as the future Don of the Salieri crime family, and the expansion will add new weapons, vehicles, Charms, environments, and additional Free Ride content.
Man of Honor launches August 14, 2026.
Blood Message
NetEase showcased a new trailer for Blood Message, offering a deeper look at its story. For those who don’t know, Blood Message is set during the final years of China’s Tang Dynasty in 848 AD, it here where players take control of a nameless protagonist during the Dunhuang uprising.
The journey spans East and Central Asia as players attempt to deliver a message that could determine the fate of their homeland.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
Fuse revealed Star Wars: Galactic Racer with a high-speed gameplay trailer. Set in the Outer Rim, the racing game puts players behind the controls of podracers in a story-driven campaign while also featuring competitive multiplayer modes.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches October 6, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Star Wars Zero Company
Fans got another look at Star Wars Zero Company ahead of its launch later this year. The single-player tactics game takes place during the Clone Wars and puts players in command of an elite squad across a gritty military campaign.

Mighty Cuphead Adventure
Studio MDHR surprised fans by confirming development has begun on an all-new Cuphead game. Mighty Cuphead Adventure will once again feature the series’ signature hand-drawn animation style, though the project remains in the early stages of development.
No platforms or release window have been announced.
