It's the question that divides families every holiday season: Should we spend it with my family or yours?

But what if the choice were between the first couple of popular culture, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, or the first couple of bro politics, Donald Trump and Elon Musk

Are you dreaming of an America First Christmas at Mar-a-Lago?

Or maybe a 'Picture perfect, shiny family, holiday, peppermint candy' kind of Midnight Rain festive season?

Wonder no more. Our latest Christmas poll has the answer, and voters are split almost evenly those who would like to spend it with America's newest loved-up couple, whose relationship blossomed in full view of the cameras, and those who prefer Swift and Kelce.

Overall, some 41 percent of registered voters said they'd prefer the Swiftie Christmas.

But that was almost matched by the 40 percent who wanted to sit down with Trump, Musk and all the Christmas trimmings.

The results of our survey show that Donald Trump and Elon Musk can match the pull of the hottest couple on the planet in the form of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

'This poll shows that Trump might be a politician but his past as a celebrity and showman has meant that he can go toe to toe with the biggest celebrity and match their popularity,' said Julian Gallie, research associate with J.L. Partners who conducted the poll.

'Just a decade ago it would be unthinkable to say Americans would prefer spending Christmas with a politician over the biggest celebrity in the country but this is not the case with Donald Trump.

'This is especially pronounced with young men. Seven in 10 men aged 18-29 favor spending Christmas with the president-elect over one of the most popular singers and her superstar football boyfriend.

'In a generation that’s historically been disengaged with politics, this highlights Trump’s appeal.'

Swift recently ended her record-setting Eras tour.

Fans spent more than $2billion on tickets, giving her a global cultural presence unlike any star in history.

She tried to use that power to help Kamala Harris, issuing an endorsement of the Democratic candidate in September.

And some 59 percent of her fans followed her lead, voting for the vice president.

But the results show a vast gender divide among younger people, mirroring what happened in the election when young women broke for Harris, and young men for Trump.

So while 62 percent of young men would prefer to bro out over Christmas with Trump and Musk, only 27 percent of young women felt the same way.

Instead, they broke 49 percent for Swift and Kelce.

Trump is expected to spend Christmas at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida home, as he prepares to take office on January 20.

Whether or not the self-proclaimed 'fist buddy' Musk will be there is unknown.
