Amy Adams looked back on a terrifying incident that saw her helping a man after he was stabbed in Los Angeles.

“We were in Santa Monica, coming out of our favorite restaurant,” she began during Monday’s episode of the “Smartless” podcast, recalling being “the first people on the scene” amid a family outing with her father, Richard Adams; husband, Darren Le Gallo; and daughter Aviana.

“These people were screaming and a guy was walking and they were yelling, ‘He’s dying!’ And my husband’s like, ‘That’s blood!’” Adams continued.

She recalled telling her husband, “you stay here with our daughter,” while she and her father “ran over” to see that the man had been “stabbed in the neck.”

“So he was bleeding and his friends were freaking out,” she told shocked hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes.

The “American Hustle” actress, 51, noted that “luckily” they were going to the beach and had towels with them.

She shared that her father “applied pressure” with the towels as he’d been “on lots of scenes.”

“And I’m sitting there somehow going, ‘You need to calm your pulse rate. Take a deep breath in,” she shared, adding that in the moment, she was “focused.”

“I was like, ‘The more you struggle, the faster you’re going to bleed. Just lay down. Let’s elevate this,'” the “Enchanted” star said.

In a bizarre turn of events, the “Junebug” actress said she ran into the stabbing victim a year later while dining out.

“A guy walks up to me in the restaurant. He’s like, ‘I heard a story that you and your dad were on the scene of a guy getting stabbed,'” she recalled.

She shared that she told him it was “so funny” he “heard that story.”

“And I was like, ‘Oh my God, it’s you.’ And it was him.”

Calling the unexpected reunion “crazy,” Adams divulged that the man was “all teary” and that he “had his son with him” at the time.

When asked if he told her the circumstances surrounding his stabbing, Adams said that “as far as [she] could make out,” he’d been having drinks with an old college pal before hitting a liquor store.

“They were going back to someone’s house and he just freaked out,” she continued, while confessing that she didn’t “know kind of what the whole story” was.

Adams isn’t the only celebrity to have been involved in a scary situation — Hayes himself shared that he’d once helped a man who’d been shot by turning his own shirt into a tourniquet to stem the bleeding before accompanying him to the hospital.

“He lived and he was OK,” Hayes shared, noting that he’d been “topless” the entire time.

Following “The Wire” actor James Ransone’s death in December, a woman came forward to share that he’d once saved her from a sexual assault by frightening the attacker.

And in 2019, Danny Trejo rescued an infant trapped in an overturned car following an accident in Los Angeles.
