After more than a decade of breakups and reunions, one of Hollywood’s most unpredictable love stories is heading to court. Mia Goth filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf on October 6, 2026, closing a chapter that began on a movie set 14 years ago.
Keep reading to find out what she’s asking for, when they separated and how their relationship unfolded over the years.
Are Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth Getting a Divorce?
Yes. Mia filed the paperwork late Tuesday night, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. She listed their date of separation as July 28, 2025, which means the pair had been living apart for more than a year before she made it official.
In the filing, Mia also asks the court to end its ability to award spousal support to either of them. The petition caps a separation that fans first learned about earlier this year.
Do Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth Have Kids?
Yes. The pair share a daughter, Isabel, who was born in March 2022. Mia is asking for primary legal and physical custody of their little girl, TMZ reported.
Isabel’s arrival came after her parents had already weathered one breakup together, and Shia has often credited Mia with helping him turn his life around during that time.
When Did Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth Split?
Their separation stayed out of the headlines until February 2026, when Page Six reported that the couple had quietly split nearly a year earlier, Complex noted. Shia later opened up about the breakup and admitted he felt he had failed in their marriage, E! News reported.
Mia, meanwhile, made her first red carpet appearance after the news at the Actor Awards on March 1, 2026, where she dazzled in a beaded Dior gown and celebrated a nomination alongside her Frankenstein castmates.
How Long Were Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth Together?
On and off, for more than a decade. The pair met on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol. II in 2012 and married in a Las Vegas ceremony in October 2016 that was livestreamed online. Two years later, they called it quits for the first time, and a rep confirmed the news to CNN:
“Shia and Mia have filed for divorce.”
They found their way back to each other by 2020, when they were spotted wearing their wedding rings again, and welcomed Isabel two years later.
Through every twist, Mia’s career has kept soaring, from her role in Guillermo del Toro‘s Oscar-nominated Frankenstein to Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey, and fans can’t wait to see what this new chapter brings for her.
