At least 7 injured in scaffolding collapse in Hong Kong’s Kai Tak

A scaffolding collapse at a construction a site in Hong Kong’s Kai Tak has left at least seven workers injured, including two trapped in the wreckage.

The structure, measuring 100 metres by 20 metres (328 feet by 66 feet), fell apart at about 4pm, injuring the six workers.

Two of them were stranded at the construction site intended for a hospital on Shing Cheong Road. As of 4.30pm, it remains uncertain what their conditions are.

A female worker was said to be half conscious, while five remained conscious.

Emergency responders were attending the site.
