Barack and Michelle Obama are showing the world they’re still going strong after 34 years of marriage.

Barack, 65, shared a photo of the couple embracing on Instagram Saturday, with the former president lovingly gazing at Michelle as she rested a hand on his arm.

“Happy anniversary, @MichelleObama! I’m still the luckiest guy in the world to be with you,” he captioned the post.

Meanwhile, Michelle, 62, shared a montage of photos and videos of the duo over the years, including throwback images from their 1992 wedding, moments from Barack’s time in the White House and more recent snapshots of the pair on vacation and at public events.

“Loving you just keeps getting better and better!” she captioned the post, which was set to Stevie Wonder’s 1976 hit “As.” “Happy anniversary, @BarackObama. Here’s to many, many more years of joy, laughter, and memories to come. 💕”

The former first couple also celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on their respective Instagram accounts last year.

The “Becoming” author shared the same photo, writing, “We’ve been on quite the journey over the last 33 years — and yet, I love you even more today than the day we said ‘I do.'”

Barack and Michelle previously faced divorce speculation after Barack attended former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and President Donald Trump’s inauguration without Michelle by his side last year.

Page Six reported at the time that Michelle’s decision to skip the inauguration was “deliberate,” with a source telling us she was on an “extended holiday vacation” in Hawaii.

The duo addressed the rumors together during a July 2025 episode of Michelle and her brother Craig Robinson’s podcast, “IMO.”

Michelle teased that they had a “very, very, very special guest” joining the episode, prompting Robinson, 64, to jokingly ask, “Wait, you guys like each other?” before sighing about the “rumor mill.”

Barack then cracked a joke of his own, saying, “She took me back! It was touch and go for a while.”

The former first lady quickly told him not to “start” before adding that it was simply “nice to [be] in the same room,” joking that when they aren’t together, “folks think we’re divorced.”

More recently, Michelle explained to People why her marriage to Barack has endured despite “ups and downs.”

“However hard it’s been, the ups and the downs, he’s got me,” she said in part. “He’s like, ‘Try new things. Go leap.’ I can do a lot of these things because I know if I slip or fall or trip, he’s got me.”

Barack and Michelle married on Oct. 3, 1992, and share two daughters, Malia, 28, and Sasha, 25.
