The fan-favorite Kilo 141 Assault Rifle is back in Call of Duty to coincide with Verdansk’s return, and the low-recoil AR is also available in Black Ops 6.

Thanks to its solid damage and extremely easy-to-control recoil, the Kilo 141 became the meta gun for a huge portion of Verdansk’s time in Warzone, and it was no slouch in Modern Warfare 2019’s multiplayer either.

It’s finally arrived in Black Ops 6 with Season 3 and kept the characteristics that made it such a meta choice. But it can still be improved with the right attachments, so here’s everything you need to know about building the best Kilo 141 loadout in Black Ops 6 Season 3.

Meta Kilo 141 build

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag 1
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

The best Kilo 141 attachments increase its accuracy and mobility while keeping you off the minimap.

The Kepler Microflex remains a great choice for Optic as it’s a clean red dot sight that doesn’t take up too much of the screen. Then, the Suppressor hides you from the minimap, which is always useful.

The Ranger Foregrip helps with horizontal recoil control and slightly increases sprint speed. The Ergonomic Grip further helps with mobility, letting you shoot almost immediately after sliding, diving, or jumping.

Whether you take the first or second Extended Mag is down to personal preference, but I’d recommend sticking with Extended Mag 1 as 50 rounds is more than enough to take down a couple of enemies before reloading without harming your mobility too much.

Best Perks and Equipment

  • Perk 1: Gung-Ho
  • Perk 2: Hunter’s Instinct
  • Perk 3: Slipstream
  • Perk Greed: Flak Jacket
  • Wildcard: Perk Greed
  • Tactical: Flashbang
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Field Upgrade: Assault Pack

The best Perks and Equipment maximize mobility, letting you quickly move onto the next kill. To start, Gung-Ho lets you reload without slowing down, which is perfect when needing to reload in a tight spot.

Next, Hunter’s Instinct highlights the next closest enemy after each kill, letting you easily chain kills and not get caught off guard. Finally, Slipstream removes Tac Sprint but increases your base sprint speed, vastly improving your reaction time.

Together, these Perks give you the Enforcer Speciality, giving you a speed increase and faster health regen after each kill.

You can take one more Perk with the Perk Greed Wildcard and Flak Jacket is a great choice as there’s nothing more annoying than being taken out by an explosive.

You can’t go wrong with the classic Semtex Lethal Grenade, which sticks to a surface before dealing a healthy amount of splash damage. A well-thrown Flashbang can also net you an easy kill. Finally, the Assault Pack Field Upgrade lets you get ammo back, keeping your Scorestreak alive.

Is the Kilo 141 meta in Black Ops 6?

Yes, the Kilo 141 is a meta Assault Rifle in Black Ops 6, largely because it’s just so easy to use. You hardly need to control the recoil to keep it firing straight, and with the right attachments, you can boost its mobility and bullet velocity.

It also has a fast time to kill, especially with headshots in the mix, and its low recoil and forgiving fire rate make it easy to hit. The jury’s still out on whether it’s the best AR in Black Ops 6, but you can’t go wrong with the Kilo.

Kilo 141 pros and cons

How to unlock Kilo 141 in BO6

The Kilo 141 is unlocked as a login reward for Warzone during its downtime ahead of Verdansk’s return. The battle royale is offline until 9 AM PT / 5 PM BST on April 3, so simply launch Warzone before that time, and the Kilo will be yours.

If you miss the login reward or don’t want Warzone clogging up your hard drive space, it will likely be an Armory Unlock. Simply head to the Armory in the menus, select the Kilo 141, then play long enough to get enough XP to unlock it.

The Kilo isn’t the only classic weapon returning to Black Ops 6, as the HDR Sniper Rifle, CR-56 AMAX, and Kali Sticks are available in the Season 3 Battle Pass. Plus, you can convert the Swat 5.56 into MW’s Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle, which was known for its low recoil and super-clean iron sights.

Best Kilo 141 alternatives

Black Ops 6 has plenty of low-recoil weapons to use instead of the Kilo 141, with the XM4 being a brilliant all-rounder. Or you can use the Ames 85, which also strikes that great balance between damage and recoil control.
