In a truly bizarre display, one of the boxers on the undercard before Mike Tyson and Jake Paul squared off decided to dry-hump his opponent.

Neeraj Goyat of India dominated Brazil's Whindersson Nunes across their six-round, 165-pound bout.

But Goyat decided to add an extra touch of humiliation to the affair in the third round - shoving Nunes into the blue corner before dry-humping him from behind before the referee broke up the action.

Nunes appeared to smile and touch gloves after the incident while social media lost their minds at the disrespectful gesture from Goyat.

'What did I just watch? Goyat humped his opponent on live TV. Is that cool in India?,' wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter, who added a barfing emoji.

'Goyat humped the guy in the corner, it was no contest after that,' said another user.

'Goyat humping Nunes in the corner has to be the most disrespectful act I've ever seen on live sports television,' wrote another user.

Another post read, 'Disrespectful af from Goyat. Tuned into Netflix to watch boxing not this.'

'Originally didn't care who won this undercard fight between Goyat & Nunes, but Goyat deserves to be dropped for that kind of disrespect,' said another poster.

Goyat, the first Indian boxer to make the WBC rankings, won his bout by unanimous decision.

The scorecard read 60-54 by the time the six round fight reached its conclusion.

Goyat has won four of his last five matches, while Nunes only recently made his professional debut.

It was the first of the main card fights and the fourth of the evening on a night where all eyes were on the main event of Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Even before the main fighters took to the mat, the night was a success for Netflix and Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.

As revealed by Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) prior to Friday's heavyweight bout in Arlington, Texas, Tyson-Paul has generated more than $17.8 million (£14.1million) at the gate to become boxing's biggest box-office success in the United States outside of Las Vegas.

What's more, Tyson-Paul has nearly doubled the previous record in Texas, when Mexico's Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez defeated Britain's Billy Joe Saunders at the same venue, AT&T Stadium, in 2021.

And outside of a 2016 UFC bout between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez in New York, Friday's fight card has registered the highest gate of any US combat sporting event outside of Las Vegas.

MVP, which is co-owned by Paul, expects more than 70,000 attendees at the home of the Dallas Cowboys. In total, the venue has a capacity of 80,000.
