She was once a star on a four-time Emmy-nominated sitcom that featured a group of awkward geeks during the 2010s.
This actress joined the cast just as the show was gaining a foothold on CBS. She played the perfect match to the child prodigy in the group who had a photographic memory – securing herself a quartet of consecutive Emmy nominations.
As a child star she appeared in a host of TV shows before landing the titular role in a sitcom about a dysfunctional male-dominated family, which she is now trying to reboot.
But with the recent news that the reboot has been stuck in limbo due to legal reasons, she looked downcast and deep in thought when she was out taking care of chores in her Los Angeles neighborhood on January 16.
Even though her starring roles have slowed down, she has hosted game shows, written and directed films and even working up a potential reboot for her 1991 sitcom.
Can you guess who she is?

It's Mayim Bialik from The Big Bang Theory!
Now 49 years old, Bialik looked unrecognizable outside of her Los Angeles home.
She was seen in exclusive DailyMail.com photos collecting a large pile of mail from her mailbox before dropping a bunch on the ground.
After gathering them up again, Bialik threw a chunk of them straight into her recycling trash can.
On this trip down the driveway, Mayim looked comfy in a pair of red and black sandals over bright yellow socks.
She also wore a dark gray blazer and a light gray baggy t-shirt accompanied by a pair of army green joggers cinched at the hem – along with her signature colored glasses.

Bialik has struggled to revitalize her career after the runaway success of The Big Bang Theory. She's currently trying to reboot her first big hit, Blossom
It appears Bialik, who reportedly struggled to revitalize her career after the success of The Big Bang Theory, has been trying to live in the glory days of her success by rebooting the successful shows she's been on.
In 1991, she starred as the main character in Blossom which ran for four years on NBC. Her character shared the same name as the show and was a coming-of-age story where she, her two older brothers and father cope with their mother's decision to leave the family.
Blossom received an Emmy nomination in 1993.
When the show ended in 1995, she guest starred in game shows and did voiceover work for children's cartoons such as Kim Possible and Johnny Bravo.
Bialik also appeared in shows including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Fat Actress and Saving Grace.
But it was The Big Bang Theory that was her big break when she came in the fourth season as fan-favorite Sheldon Cooper's love interest, Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler.

Bialik hosted Jeopardy! with her co-host Ken Jennings but was fired by Sony in 2023. It was later reported this was due to her withdrawing from the quiz show in support of the Hollywood writers strike
Her character was a quirky straight-shooter and related deeply to Bialik, who shared the same degree as the fictional character she played – a neurobiologist.
The actress acquired her doctorate in neuroscience from UCLA and got her PhD in 2007.
She reprised her role alongside Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon Cooper, in the series finale of the spin-off prequel show Young Sheldon in 2024.
When Big Bang Theory ended in 2019 after a 12-season run, Bialik was given the opportunity to host Jeopardy! as a replacement for Alex Trebek after original choice Mike Richards resigned under a cloud after just one week.
But she was fired from the iconic gameshow in 2023, when Ken Jennings, who had been sharing hosting duties took over all the show.
It was later reported she was canned after she withdrew from the program in support of the Hollywood writers strike.
Since 2023, Bialik has had only one appearance on television, when she played herself in the NBC sitcom Night Court for an episode on January 14.

But that doesn't mean she hasn't been busy.

She also has been working tirelessly to get her Blossom reboot off the ground and has the entire cast ready to go, but has run into legal issues with Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
This has left the show's ownership rights and which platform the show would go on up in the air. But Bialik told The Hollywood Reporter that the show would break its sitcom role and explore mature themes.
