The Brazilians have discovered the curse of the Rocky statue and they are not taking any chances.
The Rocky statue - a tribute to Sylvester Stallone's fictional boxer - is an iconic symbol of Philadelphia by the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps.
However, while it is an emblem of resilience and unity for the native Philadelphians, it has developed a reputation for the worst among the visiting sports fans.
Visiting American sports fans have long learned the hard way that dressing the statue with colorful jerseys, scarfs and hats has only meant that team would suffer a knockout blow at the home of the local Philly team.
Before this evening's clash, every Brazil fan who stopped for a snapshot or a selfie with the 9-foot-11, 1,300-pound beast left the statue dressed in only his bronze trunks and boots.
Some even took it upon themselves to warn their countryman to avoid the statue, standing guard with signs informing passersby of the curse.
No taking chances of getting hit by the Rocky curse.
