The body of a British tourist who vanished without a trace in South America has been found after an extensive search operation.
The 29-year-old man went missing on June 14 in Peru, but authorities have now confirmed he is deceased after identifying his remains.
The tourist was last seen in Lima's Miraflores district - an upscale area of the city - going for a run before seemingly vanishing without a trace.
The formal identification of his body has helped authorities paint a picture of his final movements.
CCTV footage pieced together the route he was running after setting off from his accommodation.
He appeared to be travelling towards the Miraflores boardwalk - but never returned home.
The 29-year-old was spotted heading along the coastal area of the neighborhood, close to Villena Bridge and Raimondi Park.
Investigators believe the man suffered a medical emergency during his run.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after onlookers sounded the alarm after the Briton collapsed.
He was then rushed to a nearby hospital, but was admitted before health workers could establish his identity.
The tourist was subsequently recorded as an unidentified patient.
The hospital later confirmed the 29-year-old man had sadly died while at the facility.
After the man was reported missing, friends and relatives launched an urgent campaign to track him down, including sharing details of the clothes he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
But Peruvian authorities finally linked the unidentified patient to the missing person report after combing through CCTV footage and exanimating records.
The discovery comes just after the body of another Briton was discovered off the coast of Portugal.
Portugal's National Maritime Authority had said the 23-year-old man disappeared on June 11 while swimming at Peneco Beach in Albufeira, on the country's south coast.

A search had been underway for the swimmer since June 12.
Last week, police confirmed that a body, believed to be that of the missing man, was recovered off the coast of Albufeira.
"Following an alert at 6.37 pm from a fisherman in the vicinity, officers from the Portimao Local Maritime Police Command, the Albufeira Volunteer Firefighters’ Humanitarian Association and the Albufeira Municipal Civil Protection Service were mobilised," a statement reads.
"On arrival at the scene, members of the Maritime Police, in collaboration with the Fire Brigade, transported the victim to Albufeira Marina."
The National Maritime Authority previously said the 23-year-old had been accompanied by a 19-year-old Briton.
The teenager "apparently managed to get out of the water by his own means to seek help after which the other one disappeared", it added.
