Burger King has been forced to apologize to a woman who was served marijuana with her meal at an Ohio drive-thru.

Ohio mother, Janna Michelle Baker, recently reported receiving a bag of marijuana with a meal she ordered for her eleven-year-old daughter at the Burger King drive-thru on Main Street in Hamilton, Ohio.

Baker documented her experience on TikTok, telling her followers 'I went to Burger King tonight, got my kid some chicken fries...with a side of Mary Jane.'

The horrified mother, who showed the alleged drug on a plate near the Burger King Food, said she 'didn't ask for a side of this.'

The viral video has now been viewed more than 1.6 million times and has prompted swift action from the burger giant.

'We contacted the franchisee of this restaurant immediately upon learning of this incident and can confirm that the employee in question has been terminated,' Burger King said in a statement to WTAE news.

'We were very disappointed to learn of the incident and do not take incidents that put our guests in danger lightly.'

Hamilton police are now actively investigating the incident, according to local news reports.

An attorney for Baker told Newsweek that the mother 'seeks not only answers but also accountability for the emotional trauma she and her family have endured.

'No family should ever face such a shocking and dangerous experience,' the attorney added.

She is gravely concerned about the apparent lack of quality control at this Burger King location and fears the devastating consequences that could have occurred if her daughter or her friend had consumed the contaminated food.

'Adding to her distress, Ms. Baker had to confront an unimaginable situation—explaining the concept of drugs to her innocent 11-year-old child.'

Management of the Burger King franchise have not responded to requests for comment.

In a recent survey 38.4 percent of individuals aged 12 or older reported using marijuana or hashes at least once in their lifetimes, a report by the US Department of Justice found.

Burger King recently slipped down the list of best fast food meal deals, according to a new survey.
