It never pays to steal … Example A.

Cal and Stanford squared off Saturday in the 131st edition of their rivalry game, with the Golden Bears getting the 24-21 victory. In terms of entertainment value, it was a hell of a game, especially considering Cal got the win in comeback fashion being down by 14 with the third quarter nearly over. The Golden Bears faithful was so ecstatic about the win that they ended up storming the field, this despite the Cardinal being a team with only three wins, because what the hell else do they have?

But good thing they did, because the field-storming came along with a highlight that’s now going viral. It appears that one of the Cal students snuck on the Golden Bears sideline in an attempt to steal a helmet. He can be seen in video footage grabbing it quickly and then sprinting off to try to get away. But unfortunately for him, someone was keeping an eye on things.

Running after the apparent thief, the man caught up with him and gave him the absolute BOOM to get the helmet back. According to Jaydn Ott, Cal’s junior running back, the man who gave chase was named “Trev.” This likely referred to Trevor Skogerboe, the team’s assistant equipment manager.

What an idiot, and the sad part is, he really thought he was gonna get away. (LMAO)
