Gavin Newsom listed his gorgeous $7.5 million home for sale in California as speculation grows that he may run for president in 2028.
The governor of California, 58, listed the more than 12,000sq ft residence in Fair Oaks on Monday as he is widely viewed as a leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Newsom has built a national political profile through his battles with Trump, his fundraising network and his aggressive social media presence - all of which have fueled speculation about his ambitions.
His stunning property features amenities similar to a world-class resort, including a full-size tennis court, 5,000-bottle wine cellar, a private pool, cold plunge and hot tub.
Newsom broke the record for the highest sale ever in Fair Oaks when he bought the home for $3.7 million and could break that record again if the house is purchased for his asking price.
The listing of the seven-bedroom, 12-bathroom house comes just four months before Newsom's term as governor comes to an end.
'With the governor's term ending in January 2027, the family began a gradual transition in 2024, purchasing a home in Marin County to provide continuity for their children's education,' Newsom spokesperson Izzy Gardon said in a statement.
'The sale of their Sacramento home is the next step in that transition.'

Splitting time between two properties was likely not fitting the common-man persona Newsom has recently put on.
He is now relocating to a humbler six-bedroom mansion in Kentfield, just outside of San Francisco, which he purchased in 2024 for $9.1 million.
Users on Facebook ripped the governor apart for his elite lifestyle and questioned how he could afford such properties.
'Wait what was that thing about No Kings? Looks like a palace to me… hmmm,' wrote one user.
'Wow, it pays a lot to be the Governor of California,' another added.
'So, the Governor owns a $7.5million dollar home and a $9million dollar home,' a third said. 'Tell me where the train money, homeless and diaper money went?'
Aside from Newsom's move to a new mansion, several prominent figures have criticized the governor for attempting to downplay his lavish lifestyle, portraying himself as more relatable to potential voters ahead of a possible 2028 presidential run.

Despite the jockeying among potential candidates, former Vice President Kamala Harris remains the leading Democrat in a June RealClear Polling poll, with Newsom and Pete Buttigieg also among names receiving significant attention.
According to the RealClear Polling figures, Harris was at 27.1 percent, followed by Newsom at 17.49 percent, Buttigieg at 13 percent and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at 11.9 percent.
Those numbers are only an early snapshot of a contest that is still far from taking shape.
Joe Rogan, a former California resident and longtime critic of Newsom, labeled him a 'con man.'
'Nobody wants President Newsom either. Nobody believes in that guy. That guy's a f**king con man,' Rogan said at the time.

Newsom also came under intense scrutiny in February after he attended an event in Atlanta, Georgia, to promote his memoir, Young Man in a Hurry.
The governor was asked about his lifelong struggle with dyslexia, to which he responded: 'I'm not trying to impress you. I'm just trying to impress upon you. I'm like you. I'm no better than you.'
'You know, I'm a 960 SAT guy... you've never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech,' he said to a predominantly black crowd.
Rapper Nicki Minaj, an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, responded to the clip by claiming Newsom was trying to appeal to black voters by telling 'them how stupid he is & that he can't read.'
Minaj then accused the governor of slowing down his speech by talking in a 'sporadic cadence.'
'He's not just TELLING them that they're all probably stupid & probably can't read, he's LITERALLY SLOW-ING-DOWN-HIS-SPEECH to make them understand the words that are coming out of his mouth!!!! As if they're children!!!!'

Newsom's spokesperson responded to the right-wing outrage by telling the Daily Mail: 'First MAGA mocked his dyslexia and now they're calling him racist for talking about his low SAT scores. This is fake MAGA-manufactured outrage.'
'The Governor has said this publicly for years, including with Charlie Kirk and dozens of other audiences. The same people who excused or ignored Trump's racist ape video can go f**k themselves.'
Rogan and Vice President JD Vance shared a laugh together in July at Newsom's expense as they also discussed Newsom's words at the event in Atlanta.
The podcaster and vice president agreed that Newsom was 'full of s**t.'
'Admirably full of s**t,' said Rogan. 'I admire the sheer tenacity that he has in being full of st. It really is amazing.'
Newsom called Rogan obsessed earlier this month and labeled him an 'a**hole.'
