Celine Dion shared a rare photo with her three sons on the anniversary of their dad René Angélil’s death.
“René, we can’t believe you’ve been gone nine years already. Not a day goes by that we don’t feel your presence, RC, Eddy, Nelson and I,” the singer wrote via Instagram Tuesday.
“You were my greatest champion, my partner, and the one who always saw the best in me. I honor you and you are forever missed mon amour…. We love you.”
Dion, 56, cuddled up with René-Charles, 23, and twins Eddy and Nelson, 14, on an outdoor couch in the social media upload.
The Grammy winner wore a cream turtleneck and matching sweats, while her children coordinated in tan and white ensembles.
Dion lost her husband to throat cancer in January 2016.
The performer had been married to the talent manager since December 1994, with the couple starting their family in January 2001 when René-Charles was born.
Their twins arrived in October 2010 following six rounds of IVF and a miscarriage.
After Angélil died, his eldest child delivered a eulogy at his funeral and said he had been left with “enough good memories” to share with his siblings.
“As they grow older, without you being around, I’ll make sure to pass on what I’ve learned from you,” the then-teen said. “You are a tough act to follow, but with your help, everything’s gonna be fine. Dad, I promise you here that we’re all going to live up to your standards.”
Although René-Charles is following his parents’ footsteps and has released music on Soundcloud, Dion primarily keeps her kids out of the spotlight.
In May 2024, however, she made headlines for posting a photo of Eddy and Nelson with Mick Jagger.
Dion herself stepped back from the limelight while battling stiff person syndrome, halting her Las Vegas residency in 2021.
She wowed with her comeback performance at the Paris Olympics in July 2024.
Dion took the stage again at an Elie Saab fashion show four months later.
