Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the sidelines of G20 summit in Brazil on Tuesday, Chinese state media said.

Scholz last met Xi in Beijing in April when the two discussed trade and the Ukraine war. Scholz’s three-party coalition collapsed last week and he faces a confidence vote in his government next month before a parliamentary election in February next year.
