CNN Reporter Spots Pirro Leaving West Wing With White Box

Jeanine Pirro was reportedly spotted walking out of the West Wing hauling a white box behind her.

The U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia was captured on camera Monday afternoon exiting the White House wheeling a briefcase and the box, according to CNN’s Kit Maher. The image was published hours after President Donald Trump publicly tore into Pirro over a dropped criminal case, and it fueled speculation that her days in the job were numbered.

CNN reported she was not fired during the visit, which the network characterized as a possibly awkward sit-down with the president, and that Trump was still weighing whether to remove her.

Pirro’s trip to the White House followed a blistering round of criticism from Trump earlier in the day. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, the president said she “choked” and made a mistake. He then went further, saying, “I was disappointed with Jeanine Pirro, really disappointed with Jeanine Pirro. She folded like an umbrella, and people get away with things,” calling the outcome a “disgrace.” Trump repeatedly declined to say whether he would fire her.

The clash traces back to Pirro’s office moving Friday to dismiss a felony case against David Hearn, a former Olympic canoeist accused of damaging the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Prosecutors concluded the harm came from a faulty contractor installation rather than vandalism. Trump rejected that finding and, according to Newsweek, was “blindsided” by the decision. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum disputed her account on X.
