A criminal investigation has been launched into Your Party's founding over alleged unathorised access to a political party's database.
The left-wing political party, established last year, has been co-led by Zarah Sultana and Jeremy Corbyn following a strenous leadership process.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they had arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of an offence under the 1990 Computer Misuse Act, Politico revealed.
He was released pending further enquiries and has not been charged.
The police service did not pick out a specific political party in its official statement.
But three insider sources revealed to Politico that the probe relates to a long-running dispute connected to the founding of Your Party.
