President Trump announced a roughly $15 billion steel plant in Iowa that the White House says will be the largest in American history, producing up to 10 million tons of steel annually. The Mesabi Metallics facility will create 1,750 permanent jobs and establish a fully domestic supply chain, according to the administration.
🚗 Trump scraps Biden's fuel standards. President Trump announced he's terminating the Biden administration's fuel economy standards designed to push Americans toward electric vehicles. Trump slammed the previous policy for costing automakers billions and forcing consumers into cars they didn't want, while Biden’s charging infrastructure went largely unbuilt.
🇬🇧 Terrorists arrested near US airbase released on bail. British counter-terrorism police released five men arrested near RAF Fairford, which is being used by US forces in operations against Iran. Investigators are examining whether the suspects were working "knowingly or unknowingly" on behalf of a foreign state, with reports suggesting possible Iranian involvement.

A: You're absolutely right that there have been major accomplishments under Trump.
Incomes and poverty: Median household income hit a record $87,460 in 2025, and the official poverty rate fell to around 10 percent.
Crime: The murder rate tied its lowest level in FBI records, and violent crime saw its largest one-year drop on record in 2025.
Immigration: DHS reports more than 675,000 removals in Trump's first year, plus an estimated 2.2 million self-deportations, with border crossings at their lowest in over 50 years.
Trump Accounts: The Treasury Department says more than 7 million have been opened, with $1.5 billion invested and $1,000 seed deposits for newborns.
Drug prices: All 50 states joined his Medicaid most-favored-nation drug pricing program, which the White House projects will save nearly $65 billion over a decade.
For whatever reason, the White House and Republicans haven't been touting those accomplishments.
Instead, the president has pursued unnecessary policies and fights like his proposed $5,000 dividend and the press pool ban, while the Iran war continues to drive up gas prices and inflation. Voters judge the economy by what they feel at the gas pump and the grocery store, so inflation being at 3.4 percent and gas around $4 or more is more tangible to most Americans than his other wins.
