A Texas father-of-three is desperately seeking answers after his wife mysteriously disappeared while running errands over the weekend.

Christine 'Chrissy' Hill, 38, left her Copperas Cove home on Sunday afternoon to run to a nearby convenience store, but has not been seen or heard from since, her husband, Aubrey, told KWTX.

'I can't get a hold of her,' he said. 'The phone is ringing, but no answer - and the same with text message.'

It is not unusual for Chrissy to leave unexpectedly, as she has a history of mental health issues that cause her to believe she is being followed, Aubrey explained.

But, her husband claimed she has never been gone for more than 12 hours before - making him and his three young children start to fret.

'My son is very much aware and he's worried,' Aubrey told the local news station. 'The first day, he was able to think that she would be coming back, but now it's getting real.'

Her husband, Aubrey, is desperate for answers as his efforts to track down his wife have proven fruitless

Aubrey's efforts to track down his wife using her phone and credit card have fallen flat, and he now worries his wife may no longer even be in the Copperas Cove area southwest of Waco.

'The phone company won't locate her phone without some kind of subpoena,' Aubrey explained. 'Same thing with her bank, they said she's an adult who left on her own, and they aren't going to invade her privacy.'

'Yes, this may be a situation where she left on her own. But it's not on her own. It's under false beliefs,' Aubrey insisted.

Chrissy was last seen wearing black shorts and a beige sweater, leaving the home in her white 2005 Dodge Ram with the license plate number FFX7663.

A missing person's poster describes the mother-of-three as a white female with blonde hair and brown eyes.

She stands at about five-foot-nine-inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

In a statement, Copperas Cove police said officers responded to a welfare check on June 14, after Aubrey reported that his wife had not returned home.

'Officers searched locations identified by Mr Hill as places that Ms Hill frequently visits, but were unable to locate her,' the police department said.

Authorities then entered Chrissy's description and her vehicle information into a local law enforcement database.

'At this time, the case has been assigned to a detective to follow up on available leads and investigate information as it is received.'

Anyone with any information about Chrissy's whereabouts is asked to call the Copperas Cove Police Department at (254) 547 - 8222.
